Top 10 healthy snacks

Over the past few weeks all of my clients have been telling me they are doing great with meals but still struggle with snacks and healthy snack foods. Especially for the kids. So here is a top ten list of healthy snack foods that I would recommend keeping on hand so that you and the kids are not looking for cookies, candy and ice cream.

Top Ten Healthy Snacks

Thick unsweetened yogurt with fruit, honey and granola or bee pollen for crunch

Carrot Sticks and Humus

Peanut Butter and Apples

Nuts and Dried Fruit

Dark Chocolate (at least 70% cocoa mass) Covered Almonds

Fruit – apple, pear, blueberries

Fruit or Protein Smoothie

Green Smoothie

Steamed vegetables and Tofu

Scrambled eggs or omelet with goat cheese and vegetables – zucchini, spinach, broccoli
